We’re hosting Judy Lee, one of Canada’s top Film & Television Casting Directors!

Join founder Bart Anderson for a 4-class session and get prepped to work live, in-person with Judy Lee, one of Canada’s top casting directors! You'll spend 3 classes prepping a variety of sides chosen specifically for you with Bart, culminating in a final class with Judy Lee.

Judy Lee is one of Canada’s most notable casting directors. Over the past 20 years, she has cast over 140 projects for major networks including Hallmark, Netflix, Lifetime, Universal, CBC and more. Based in Vancouver, her projects have included Crazy Rich Asians, Harry & Meghan - Becoming Royal, and Simon Pegg in Hector and the Search for Happiness.

Weekend Workshops

Lead Roles for Camera Workshop (ages 19+)

This is an intensive workshop designed for actors preparing to audition for leading roles. These scenes tend to have higher stakes and put a greater demand on the actor and their instrument. This is a great workshop for actors experienced on the stage or on camera, looking to add another dimension to the work and connect on a deeper level to the material. Bart's techniques help empower each actor to make the scene authentic to them. Participants will elevate their acting to a dynamic and transformative place.

Teen On-Camera (all levels, ages 13-19)

An on camera workout for young actors interested in pursuing work in film and television. Students will be given short scenes prior to the workshop in preparation for an on-camera workout. Classes will include feedback and each participant will be recorded for at-home review.

Adult On-Camera (all levels, ages 19+)

An on-camera principal roles workshop, ideal for the theatre practitioner or film/television actor looking to improve their skills in prep for Canadian Hollywood projects. These roles are 1-16 lines and tend to be a stereotype or expert in a field: Detective, Cheerleader, Sheriff, Bartender, Barista, Electrician, Scientist etc. These roles require handling industry-specific jargon, and Bart has created five acting techniques that will help you elevate your work by making it seem like those words are yours.

ZERO TO CAMERA with Bart Anderson and Special Guest Sara Canning

Practice taking a scene from a cold read to a dynamic, nuanced performance in a series of workouts with Founder Bart Anderson and special guest. This session focuses on the practice of the intuitive first read of a scene, mastering rehearsal techniques, then transcending to a resonant on-camera performance.
